National Day of Action against Wage Theft update!

As was mentioned last week, this Thursday (November 18) is the National Day of Action Against Wage Theft.  Our action this year is the first annual Wage Theft Awards, which is our opportunity to recognize several employers who failed to pay their employees over this last year.

Many organizations around El Paso are co-hosting this fantastic event, including:

– Asociación de Trabajadores Fronterizos

Border Network for Human Rights

The Catholic Diocese of El Paso

La Mujer Obrera

Paso del Norte Civil Rights Project

The Retail Workers Rights Committee

Sacred Heart Church of El Paso

Join us at 2 pm on Thursday, November 18th, at the Federal Court Plaza (San Antonio Ave. and Campbell Street)!  This year’s awards include Most Wanted, Wage Subtractor, Soulsucker, and the Check Bouncer.  Come to the event to find out who wins and why they were chosen!

Finally, thanks to the Retail Workers Rights Committee, the event is on Facebook as well!  As always, if you have any questions, give us a call at 915-532-3799 x 10.  Hope to see you Thursday!
